Marvelous announced the release date of Rune Factory 5 in Japan during the Japanese Nintendo Direct mini along with a look at its latest trailer.

After having lost their memory, the protagonist Ares/Alice gets recruited into a band of rangers called Seed. Similar to past Rune Factory games, you’ll get to farm, fish, and take on monsters. In Rune Factory 5, you’ll also get to team up with townsfolk to bust out powerful combo attacks in battle.
Additionally, a limited edition “Premium Box” version will be available to purchase. Check out the limited edition Rune Factory 5 for Japan below:
It includes a special art book and an arranged album CD featuring music from the Rune Factory series.
A Rune Factory 4 Special demo will also be available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan. Starting November 2, 2020, at 12:00 pm JST until November 8, 2020, at 5:59 pm JST, subscribers in Japan will get to play a trial version with no time limits.
Rune Factory 5 launches for Nintendo Switch in Japan on May 20, 2021. A release date for Rune Factory 5 was not announced for the West, but it currently has a 2021 window with Xseed Games as the publisher.
