The biggest slapfest of the Taisho era is nigh, as Playism has announced a Summer 2023 release for the Rose and Camellia Nintendo Switch port. This port will include the original Reiko campaign, as well as three new stories. You’ll be able to play as other Tsubakikoji family members in these new scenarios. That means players will be slapping new characters in the game.

Indie World JP uploaded a trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of Rose and Camellia onto its Twitter account. There is a very retro and grainy filter over the voice-over. It also notes that this version of the game will have voice-overs as well. Each girl will say a pre-slap line or cry out in pain.

Rose and Camellia was originally a 2008 Flash slapping game that you could play on your browser. In 2020, it appeared on mobile phones as an app. The story of Rose and Camellia follows Reiko Tsubakikoji, who is the widowed wife of the Tsubakikoji’s eldest son. After his death, blood relatives of the family attempt to take her inheritance from her and she slaps them into submission.

The Rose and Camellia Nintendo Switch port (whose official title can translate to Rose and Camellia: Most Luxurious and Elegant Version) will come out in Japan in Summer 2023. There is no news on an English localization yet.
