When Red Dead Redemption’s various editions were revealed, Rockstar Games noted that both the $79.99 Special and $99.99 Ultimate Editions contained two special Story Mode missions. Now, the company has taken to Twitter to clarify the nature of these extra activities and note they are not story content locked behind certain editions.
When someone suggested these two missions were locked Story Mode content, Rockstar Games explained, “The Bank Robbery and Gang Hideout included in the RDR2 Special Edition are side activities created specifically for that edition and are not part of the main story.” The bank robbery mission has Arthur and the Van der Linde gang robbing a bank in Rhodes, while the gang hideout one sends the group to a hacienda held by the Del Lobos gang.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018.
