Re:Zero –Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss Launches In Japan On March 23

5pb. recently announced they’re working on a new game for Re:Zero, the popular anime, manga, and light novel series. Re:Zero –Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss launches on March 23, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. [Thanks, Otakomu.]

In Re:Zero –Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss features an original story that is different from what we’ve seen in so far from the series in what they’re called “Candidates of the Next Ruler And Another Episode.”

In the story, we’ll see the “Beauty Queen Election,” which takes place as a prelude prior to the royal election. The winner of this election is given a “noble weapon that brings good fortune,” which is actually a cursed item that ends up getting Subaru with the “Curse of Death.” In order to get rid of the curse, he’ll need a “beautiful girl’s kiss,” and that’ll require you to get close to heroines in order to receive the kiss at the end to avoid death… which is more or less the basic focus of the game.

Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss releases in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on March 23, 2017. It’ll release as a standard edition for 8,100 yen, digital for 7,560 yen, and limited edition for 11,340 yen.
