The Japanese YouTube channel for Resident Evil uploaded a very child-friendly and cheery video introducing viewers to their new puppet show “Let’s Play in Bio Village ♪.” Big Sister Dimitrescu, Moreau, Mister Heizen, and Angie sing a song while making art with some fresh red paint.

After the introduction, Big Sister Dimitrescu tells the other puppets that they will sing while drawing with red paint. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough, so Moreau helpfully provides some fresh blood for everyone. The video emphasizes how Bio Village isn’t scary and invites people to visit. At the end, it humorously shows a graph saying that the top reason consumers did not purchase Resident Evil 7 was because it was too scary. As a result, they decided to make the decidedly not-scary Bio Village puppet show.
The second episode of “Let’s Play in Bio Village ♪” will release on May 7, 2021. The official Resident Evil Twitter account first teased the Bio Village puppet show on March 31 along with Yoshi Ikuzo’s parody single. Though the marketing for Resident Evil Village has been rather humorous in nature (the 3-meters-long Lady Dimitrescu towel comes to mind), the game itself is the usual grotesque and horrifying Resident Evil experience. Those who are curious about the game can check out the demo, which has been extended to run between May 1 and 9, 2021.
