Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Hunts Ganados In Japan This Summer

altThis week’s Japanese magazine reveals also bring news of Nintendo 3DS games, the first of these being Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. The game now has a release date, according to news sniffed out by Game Jouhou.

The Mercenaries 3D, based on the bonus “Mercenaries” mode from Resident Evil 4 and 5, is slated for a June 2nd release in Japan for 4,800 yen ($60), which is the same price as Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and toward the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to Nintendo 3DS software prices in general.

 

For the sake of comparison, Konami charged 5,800 yen ($71) for Pro Evolution 3D Soccer 2011 and Level 5 charged 5,980 yen ($73) for Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. Meanwhile, Tecmo Koei charged 6,090 yen ($75) for Samurai Warriors Chronicles. Namco Bandai charged the same for Ridge Racer 3D.

 

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D includes an online co-op mode for two players. Characters confirmed to be playable in the game so far include: Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Jack Krauser, and Hunk. For more information catch up on our hands-on impressions of the game.

 

Capcom have confirmed the game for a 2011 release in the U.S., but haven’t announced a release date. Here’s a look at the game’s U.S. box art. Capcom announced Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for North America and its currently a Q3 title.
