The Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta test required maintenance due to a matchmaking problem shortly after it went live on April 8, 2021. Capcom’s Dev 1 team became aware of the situation and worked to solve the issue while posting regular updates in English and Japanese on its official Twitter account. As of this writing, the open beta server is back online. [Thanks, Game Watch.]
On April 8, 2021, at 6:40 AM ET, the Dev 1 team first tweeted that it was aware of the matchmaking issues. At 8:58 AM ET, the team decided to temporarily suspend the beta by holding maintenance, as the issue still was not resolved.
Roughly 15.5 hours later, on April 9, 2021, at 12:30 AM ET, the team finally put the open beta server back online after working on the countermeasures. They continues to observe the server for any issues that may show up.
The open beta test for Re:Verse started simultaneously worldwide on April 8, 2021, at 2 AM ET. At the same time, Capcom also scheduled the next Resident Evil Showcase to broadcast on April 15, 2021. Unless extensions are made to compensate for the maintenance, the open beta period closes on April 11, 2021, at 2 AM ET.
Capcom will include the full version of Resident Evil Re:Verse as a free copy to every purchase of Resident Evil Village, which is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia on May 7, 2021.
