Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Sold Over 80% Of Its Shipment In Japan

Capcom released Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City in Japan last week, selling 252,525 copies on the PlayStation 3 and 16,285 copies on the Xbox 360. Those are some pretty great opening numbers, and the game even outsold Resident Evil: Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS, which sold 158,012 copies in its first week.

Media Create report that Operation Raccoon City sold through most of its shipment, too. The game sold 85.48% of its shipment on the PlayStation 3 and 83.41% of its shipment on the Xbox 360.

The question now is whether Operation Raccoon City will be able to maintain steady sales going forward.
