Fan Made Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake Demo Available

Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake Fan Made

A team of Resident Evil fans have created a demo for a fan made Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake. The demo is immediately available for PC in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and consists of the opening area of Resident Evil: Code Veronica. This fan made remake is in the same vein as Capcom’s official Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes.

The Twitter for this fan made project appeared in September 2019, with a website appearing shortly after. The website for the project features various screenshots of recreated environments, and a video showcasing gameplay, user interface elements, and enemy models. This includes a look at the Prison section of Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

This fan made remake has no affiliations with Capcom. The website for the project states this several times. Additionally, the team working on the remake has made clear that they won’t accept donations or funds for the project. This is something they are doing purely for their love of the franchise.

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 have received official remakes by Capcom. However, there is currently no word of an official Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake that could potentially be in development. That being said, the Resident Evil 2 remake is currently on Capcom’s Platinum Titles list, sitting at spot number three with 8.1 million units sold.
