Resident Evil 7 sales have officially surpassed 10 million units worldwide. In May 2021, it was announced that Resident Evil 7 sales had surpassed 9 million units worldwide. As it stands, Resident Evil 7 retains its spot as the best selling Resident Evil title within the franchise to date. It also remains at second place on Capcom’s Platinum Titles list.
Currently, Monster Hunter: World still occupies first place on Capcom’s Platinum Titles list. The title has sold 17.3 million units as of June 30, 2021. Only time will tell if Resident Evil 7 will slowly creep up the list to take first place. The Resident Evil 2 remake sits just behind Resident Evil 7 with 8.6 million units sold.
