Resident Evil 7 continues to creep up the list of Capcom’s Platinum Titles list, with it landing just behind Monster Hunter: World. As of March 31, 2021, Monster Hunter: World has shipped 17.1 million copies worldwide. This puts Resident Evil 7 behind it somewhat significantly. Third place on the list is held by the remake of Resident Evil 2. The title has shipped 8.1 million units worldwide.

Resident Evil 5 continues to hold fourth place at 7.8 million units. Resident Evil 6 is just behind it at roughly 7.8 million units as well. Other titles on the list include Monster Hunter World: Iceborne at 7.7 million units, and Streetfighter II at 6.3 million units. However, the list goes on to include Street Fighter V, the original release of Resident Evil 2, and Monster Hunter Freedom 3.

As it stands, with Resident Evil 7 having shipped 9 million units worldwide, it remains at a solid second place. However, Capcom recently revealed that Resident Evil Village had shipped 3 million units worldwide. This was only five days after its initial release, which is comparable to the release of Resident Evil 7.
