By Remothered: Tormented Fathers means to challenge its players with its stealth horror, dogging them with many different stalkers who will aggressively seek the player out, leaving little room for error.
Players will be followed by a number of different foes throughout Remothered: Tormented Fathers. Dr Felton, nude and carry a hand scythe, will pursue the player throughout much of the house. A red-clad nun will also follow them around, insects swarming around her, as will a weapon-wielding woman in white. Each of these foes has different attacks and means to hurt the player, and some will even work together to make it very difficult to solve the mysteries of the game alive.
Players have various tools they can use to keep these foes at bay. Basic observation and hiding will help a great deal, as players must be willing to study their foes while staying out of sight. They can also throw items to sidetrack foes, lock them out of parts of the house, or pick up items they can use to stab or strike them should they get close enough to grab them.
Players need to stay out of these people’s hands if they wish to solve the case of a child that went missing, as protagonist Rosemary is out to find out what happened to Dr Felton’s daughter, Celeste. The answers to the mystery are buried in this house, but players need to get some breathing room between them and their unsettling foes to find out what happened.
