Remember Donkey Kong Country the TV show?

Viva Piñata wasn’t Rare’s first foray into the silver screen. They got their start back in the 90’s with a 40 episode series of Donkey Kong Country. At first Donkey Kong is just like any regular monkey, hanging out with his favorite nephew Diddy. Then suddenly he stumbles upon the “Crystal Coconut”, which created a pile of magical bananas. DK and his buddies eat them and all of the sudden they have super intelligence to fight King K. Rool who wants the Crystal Coconut for himself. Similar to Viva Piñata the show was composed entirely of computer animation and it looks pretty good. Watch the video that Overtime Comedy dug out of the YouTube vault.
