Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is a re-imagining of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale with a dark, industrial fantasy setting that’s coming to PC.
As Red Riding Hood, you leave the safety of your family home in the forest for the smoke-filled city in order to avenge her father’s death in the factories of Woolfe Industries.
Developer GRIN Gamestudio has recently released a three-level demo of Woolfe onto Steam that you can download right now for free on Windows.
In it, you’ll be able to get a feel for the game’s mix of combo-based axe-swinging combat against hostile toy soldiers, solving environmental puzzles, and the dramatics of its “cinematic” 2.5D platforming.
If you do play it, do bear in mind that it is not a finished product, and it is missing lots of features as they have been taken out for the demo’s sake.
Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries will be coming to PC in early 2015. It was successfully Kickstarted earlier this year.
