Arthur Morgan’s journey is coming to a new platform. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox Game Pass debut is upon us. Microsoft confirmed that it will join the console version of the service on May 7, 2020. This means everyone who subscribes will be able to play through both the main game and its Red Dead Online multiplayer component.
I suppose you could say the Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox Game Pass debut doesn’t come without a cost. While revealing the good news, Microsoft confirmed that another Rockstar Games title will be leaving that same day. There will be no more Grand Theft Auto V available on the service on May 7, 2020. As you might expect, that also means no Grand Theft Auto Online.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the prequel to Red Dead Redemption. It follows Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang that also included John Marston and Dutch Van der Linde. While things begin with the gang escaping a sticky situation and finding a new place, though its clear that things are going in a bad direction and Arthur might need to make some tough decisions as suspicions and paranoia arises and plans appear for another heist.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and was one of the best-selling games on Amazon in 2018. (It just came to Steam in December 2019.)
