By Solo developer Constantin Graf has announced that he’s bringing his puzzle-RPG SwapQuest to PlayStation Vita. Not only that, but it’ll arrive with new levels, a new character class, and a new boss fight.
SwapQuest was originally released for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play) last year and, since then, Graf has been working to make the game feel at home on Sony’s handheld.
Graf describes SwapQuest in comparison to Pipe Mania puzzles except it has added RPG mechanics. The idea is to guide Prince Wilbert or Princess Wilma across the land by swapping the terrain tiles to create a path for them as an evil cloud of demons chases them.
You can send them to get treasure chests and fight enemies to grow stronger but you have to do so quickly as otherwise the killer cloud will catch up. It make for a more frantic puzzle-type experience.
Between levels you can also buy new equipment, improve new abilities, and enchant weapons and armor. SwapQuest features dozens of areas to beat as Wilbert and Wilma search for a magical sword that will restore peace to the world.
