Players can obtain these cosmetic items through special “Evangelion” crates. Items will randomly be acquired through these crates, which means consumers may need to purchase several crates to receive the cosmetics they desire. Additionally, a special Neon Genesis Evangelion-themed outfit will be available to obtain in the game. This includes an EVA-01 outfit complete with a helmet and unique weapon skin.

PUBG Mobile has seen several anime crossover events appear in the mobile title. These have included Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Lagoon. Like the Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover event, players could obtain unique cosmetics inspired by the anime, such as character outfits, for a limited time. Special event challenges have also been held during these crossovers.

PUBG Mobile is available for Android and iOS devices. The Neon Genesis Evangelion and PUBG Mobile crossover event will begin on May 19 and last until June 19, 2022.
