Players can find SAO‘s Asuna and Kirito in PSO2‘s Shopping Plaza. Gaining favor with the characters will nab players their respective Partner Cards. Additionally, the Sword Art Online characters will have special requests. Fans can obtain rewards like hairstyles, outfits, voice tickets, and weapons from them. Sega also clarified that the rewards are not tied to AC Scratch and don’t require real money, so players can earn all items in-game if they participate.

The limited-time collab event between PSO2 and SAO will also have original story content. The narrative will feature Asuna and Kirito as they discover Phantasy Star Online 2‘s world. Players can complete Client Orders from the characters to progress the story. Those who participate in the quests will also earn exclusive emotes and items.
