Sony has revealed that PlayStation 2 games will be joining PlayStation Now. Previously, the subscription service only offered access to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 games, but May 2018 marks the first appearance of PS2 Classics for people to play.
Three PS2 Classics, with HD presentation and trophy support, have been revealed. Sony is kicking things off with Ape Escape 2, Dark Cloud 2 and Hot Shots Tennis. They are available beginning May 1, 2018, with more promised.
An Ape Escape 2 trailer was shared, showing how the PS2 Classic looks on the PlayStation 4.
The other games joining PlayStation Now on May 1, 2018 are The Last Blade 2, Limbo, Metal Slug 3, Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics, Sine Mora EX and Siren. The version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend on the service is now the PlayStation 4 version, rather than the PlayStation 3 one.
PlayStation Now is $19.99 for a one-month subscription and $44.99 for a three-month subscription. PlayStation Now lets people stream games on the PlayStation 4 and PC.
