Sony has revealed the games PS Plus subscribers will gain for free next month. The PS Plus October 2022 games are led by something hot, something with “supers” and something super hot. In other words, members gain access to Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot (SUPER. HOT.).
The three games become available to PS Plus members on October 4, 2022. Players can still claim the PS Plus September 2022 games, which include Deathloop and Granblue Fantasy Versus, before October 3, 2022.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racer based on the Hot Wheels line of toy vehicles. Players will earn new vehicles and race in 12-player online races or two-player split-screen versus. It also includes a track editor and support for community-created tracks players can try. The PS4 and PS5 versions are on offer in the PS Plus October selection.
Developed by Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 is the 2017 sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us. It’s a fighting game using characters from the DC Comics universe, such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. There’s a twist, though: The world of Injustice is a bleak and deadly place, one where Superman took over the world and established a fascistic Regime to enforce order and execute evildoers, and opposed by an insurgency led by Batman. A new threat led by Brainiac might force the two former allies to team up once again, though. Injustice 2 also added a gear system that allows players to customize the look and playstyle of their fighters. The PS4 version is available.
Superhot is a strategic, time-dilation-based first-person action game. In Superhot, one hit can kill you, but time only moves when you do. Players can utilize this trick to deftly maneuver through a gauntlet of action scenarios.
The PS Plus October 2022 games become available to PS Plus Essential members (and up) on October 4, 2022. More games for PS Plus Extra and Premium memberships will be announced, and debut later in the month.
