A Naruto Lego Ideas set is up for consideration. Now that the Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop by David and Diego Escalona joined the 10K Club, an honor awarded to products that received 10,000 votes to be made by fans, Lego released an interview with them. It turns out the twins took three months to prepare the iconic location and Naruto series minifigs.
This Naruto Lego project isn’t even a year old. The twins submitted it back on June 18, 2020. (It even had 100 supporters by the time the first day ended.) The proposed set would recreate the ramen shop Teuchi Ichiraku and his daughter, Ayame, run in Konohagakure. The two-story building has the restaurant on the first floor. Four figures can sit at the counter while Teuchi and Ayame work in the kitchen behind it. The second floor has an apartment for Teuchi.
It would even come with parts to make different size portions of ramen with the ingredients people might like.
In addition to the building, the proposed Lego Ideas Naruto Ichiraku Ramen Shop set would include seven minifigures. People would get Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Iruka, Teuchi, and Ayame. There would also be accessories like the Scroll of Seals and Icha Icha Paradise to go with them.
The Lego Ideas program requires projects to reach certain plateaus before it possibly becomes a real set. The first is to hit 100 supporters by 60 days. When a project hits 10,000 supporters, it is in the 10K Club and undergoes an expert review. From there, it has a chance of becoming a real set. So this Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop is at that stage. If it does get approved and licensing works out, like the Lego Ideas Sonic Mania set just did in February 2021, then we’ll eventually see it in stores.
