Project Wingman is a combat flight action game that was launched this week on Kickstarter. The game currently has a working demo that you can find here.
Gameplay is very much Ace Combat-like, focusing on the pure sky combat as the player dogfights through a series of combat zones based on an alternate history of Earth. There are 20 aircraft and 40 unique weapons planned for the game, and VR compatibility is planned for the full game.
Apart from the story-based Conquest Mode, the game will also have a Free-Flight mode that lets you explore maps on your favorite aircraft. The soundtrack will also be created by José Pavli, such as the tracks below:
The team behind the game is asking for AU$35,000 in funding, and managed to get the game fully funded in 16 hours of the start of the campaign. You can find the Kickstarter page here.
Project Wingman is currently aiming for a PC release.
