Project Morpheus Coming In 2016, Now Supports 120fps

Project Morpheus, Sony’s virtual reality headset, will be released in the first half of 2016, the company announced today at the Game Developers Conference.

 

Since its reveal, the 5-inch LCD display of the device has been switched out for a 5.7-inch 1920×1080 resolution OLED display. it also supports a 120hz refresh rate, which means that games for Morpheus can theoretically be rendered at 120fps.

 

Sony also announced today that the PlayStation 4 has sold over 20.2 million units worldwide as of March 1st, and represents the fastest growth for a PlayStation device to date.
