The Pokémon World Championships will be held between August 21st and August 23rd this year in Boston at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.

The final Championship Point totals have been counted and hundreds of the world’s best Pokémon Trading Card Game and videogame players from around 30 different countries have been invited to compete in the event. They’ll be competing for more than half a million dollars in scholarship awards as each Pokémon Video Game World Champion will win a $10,000 scholarship, and each Pokémon TCG World Champion will win a $25,000 scholarship.

Everyone who attends the event will get a special Sharpedo for Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. If you can’t attend in person to watch the event, then you can tune in to watch the livestream over on Pokemon.com/Worlds or Twitch.tv/Pokemon.

The even will begin on Friday, August 21st at 14:00 BST to catch the Pokémon World Championships Opening Ceremony and a full day of Pokémon videogame and Pokémon TCG matches. On Sunday, August 23rd, the TCG Championships final matches will begin at 14:00 BST, immediately followed by the Video Game Championships finals.
