Oink Games will release a Pokemon version of the Nine Tiles puzzle board game. The official title is ‘Nine Tiles Pokemon Dokoda.” Pre-sales will start on November 20 and 21, 2021 during Game Market Autumn 2021. Those who do not attend can start buying the game from November 27, 2021. It will cost 2750 JPY, which is approximately $24.20. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
Nine Tiles has had collaborations with other intellectual properties in the past. For example, there is a version with Sanrio characters, as well as one with Moomin. Two to four people can play Nine Tiles, and it involves players reorganizing their grid of nine cards in order to match the flipped goal card in the middle. Each game should last around 15 minutes.
There are six Pokemon that appear on the cards in Nine Tiles Pokemon Dokoda. They are Pikachu, Eevee, Piplup, Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet. All of them are popular Pokemon when it comes to merchandise. For instance, Piplup will appear in multiple goods during the Pokemon Brilliant Shining Festival, whereas Eevee is one of the Pokemon in the Honwaka Poka Poka series.
The Nine Tiles Pokemon Dokoda puzzle board game will be available from November 27, 2021 in Japan. Advance copies will appear at Game Market Autumn 2021, which will run on November 20 and 21, 2021.
