Pokemon Unite is getting in the spirit of the season. Not only is a new Pokemon coming, but so is a new celebration. The Pokemon Unite Halloween Festival will begin on October 20, 2021, and Greedent will show up too. Though the announcement didn’t make it exactly clear if Greedent will appear the day the event begins.
Here’s the trailer going over the Pokemon Unite Halloween activity. The video begins by looking at some gameplay mechanics. For example, it seems that during a match, people will be able to temporarily turn other Pokemon into Jack-o’-Lanterns. It appears this is a status ailment that temporarily prevents attacks.
Some Trainer cosmetics showed up after that. For example, Pikachu Mask (Halloween) and Pointed Hat (Halloween) both showed up. It also looks like there will be unique Unite Snapshot backgrounds, poses, and stickers.
Finally, Greedent appeared at the 40-second mark of the new Pokemon Unite trailer.

The last character added to Pokemon Unite was Sylveon. It showed up at the beginning of October 2021.
Pokemon Unite is available on the Nintendo Switch and Android and Apple iOS devices. The Pokemon Unite Halloween Festival will begin on October 20, 2021, and it seems Greedent will also debut that day. The event will end on November 7, 2021.
