Pokemon Seiko Watches Will Be Sold In Japan Next Month

Pokemon Pikachu watch from Seiko

Seiko revealed new watches based on the popular Pokemon video game franchise. The renowned watch brand shows four watch models; two are based on Pikachu, and one each for Eevee (with its Japanese official name Eievui) and Mewtwo. These watches will be sold only in Japan at 30,800 yen each. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

All four watches will be water-proof for up to 10 bar, and they also come with magnetic resistance. The initial battery inside them should last for approximately 3 years. Although one of Pikachu’s watches has “Super Effective On Water-Type!!” written on its dial, you do not have to worry about wearing the watch underwater as it does not actually emit any Thunder Shock.

Each watch will come with a unique case and cleaning cloth designed after the Poke Ball. The Mewtwo model is even more distinctive as it replaces the Poke Ball covers with the Master Ball instead.

Prior to this collaboration, Seiko also previously revealed watches based on Guilty GearStreet Fighter, and BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!

These Pokemon watches from Seiko will be sold exclusively in Japan on December 11, 2020. The latest titles in the series are Pokemon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch, which recently had a re-release that includes the Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra expansions.
