Samurott will be the next 7-star Tera Raid event in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In addition, it was also announced that Mighty Samurott will have a Bug Tera Type. This new Mighty Samurott Tera Raid will appear first from March 31, 2023 until April 3, 2023, and then once again between April 7-10, 2023.
Samurott’s Bug Tera Type means that it will be weak to Flying, Rock, and Fire type attacks. However, Samurott’s original Water type means that it will probably have water moves. This could prove dangerous if players bring a Rock or Fire type Pokemon to the fight.
7-star Tera Raids are a series of exclusive timed events in which players can fight and capture special Pokemon, some of which are not normally present in the Paldea region. Other Pokemon that appeared in previous 7-star Tera Raids have been Charizard, Cinderace, Greninja, Pikachu, and Decidueye.
Samurott was introduced in the Pokemon Black and White generation of games, which released on September 2010 in Japan, and March 2011 everywhere else. Most recently, Samurott appeared as one of the starters in 2022’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus, where it gained a Water/Dark Hisuian variant. The previous 7-star Tera Raid, Decidueye, also appeared as a starter in PL:A, where it gained a Grass/Fighting Hisuian variant. Because of this, it’s possible that the next Mighty Tera Raid could be Typhlosion, the remaining third starter in PL:A.
As a reminder, Nintendo and Game Freak recently announced that they are working on a patch for the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves event, which will reappear at the end of April 2023.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are readily available on the Nintendo Switch, and the Samurott Tera Raid will appear first from March 31, 2023 until April 3, 2023, and once again between April 7-10, 2023.
