A new overview trailer has been released by Nintendo for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the upcoming remake of the Game Boy Advance/Nintendo DS games. The trailer begins by going over the story premise that you, a human being, have woken up in an alternate world as a Pokemon. The Pokemon world is being ravaged by changes in the environment that have led to more Mystery Dungeons being discovered. Apart from the usual Pokemon Mystery Dungeon mechanics, the overview trailer shows off the new Rare Qualities feature that is a streamlining of the IQ skills in the past.
Rare Qualities are passive skills that can help in the traversal of dungeons, such as being able to break down walls or being able to disarm traps just walking over them. Rare Qualities are earned rarely when eating a Rainbow Gummi or a DX Gummi and affect the entire party when any one Pokemon has the Rare Quality.
Apart from the overview trailer, two new commercials for the game that will air in Japan have been uploaded by Nintendo:
TVCM1 “Smiles” Chapter
TVCM2 “Tears” Chapter
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2020. While people wait, they can go through a brief demo immediately. Save files from the demo will carry over to the full game. Check out an introduction to the Makuhita Dojo here.
