During the Pokemon Presents livestream, a new smartphone and Nintendo Switch game was announced, titled Pokemon Cafe Mix. The title is a puzzle game that is similar to the Tsum Tsum series of mobile puzzle games.

In Pokemon Cafe Mix, you are the owner of a brand-new cafe, and you are mixing drinks for the Pokemon that come by to visit your cafe. These are the puzzles that you’ll solve by swiping on a Pokemon and lining up the same species of Pokemon. When you are friendly enough with the Pokemon, they’ll join your staff, and will be able to assist you with skills and abilities. As you continue the game, your cafe will gain popularity, and you’ll be able to gain new items and expand your cafe. This in turn will attract even more species of Pokemon to your cafe.
The game is being developed by Genius Sonority (the developer behind Pokemon Trozei and Pokemon Shuffle), and will be free-to-start with microtransactions. For the Switch version, you’ll likely be required to play with Handheld Mode’s touchscreen.
Pokemon Cafe Mix is in development, and will be “available soon” on Nintendo Switch, Apple iOS, and Android.
