This falls right in line with past Pokemon releases. Since Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the release dates have fallen in November 2021 and appeared simultaneously or near-simultaneously worldwide. For example, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! both debuted on November 16, 2018. Then, in 2019, Pokemon Sword and Shield each launched on November 15, 2021.

And here’s a better look at the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl box art, which appeared alongside the release date announcement. Like last time, Dialga is on the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond box. Meanwhile, Palkia is on the Pokemon Shining Pearl box. In each case, they are in a more active pose than they were on the original Nintendo DS game boxes. The art for the two trainers appears next to them.
