Around sixty songs are planned to be a part of this release. All of the songs will be included on one disc, and purchases will come with a special Pokemon sticker. Pre-orders are now available through the Sony Music Japan website.

The disc for the CD will be a Blu-spec CD2 and the promotional website assures consumers that the quality of the recorded music will be faithful to the original sound heard in the animated series.

The Pokemon series recently received a short music video produced by studio BONES. This animation featured key moments throughout the history of series, eventually culminating to the championship battle in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The animated music video also featured a song by Japanese rock band Bump of Chicken.

The Pokemon anime OST will be released in Japan on November 4, 2020. It is unknown if it will eventually be released worldwide.
