Development of thatgamecompany’s PlayStation Network title, Journey, is complete. The game even has an official release date now. Journey will be released on March 15th in North America and on March 14th in Europe. It will cost $15 in North America.
thatgamecompany describe Journey as an “anonymous online adventure”. Similar to Shadow of the Colossus, you wander through miles of barren landscape, most of it a desert, and eventually discover your goal: a mountain-top. In order to reach the mountain-top, you can either travel by yourself or with a stranger over the Internet. The goal of the game is to let the player create moments that he’ll remember and discuss with others.
Journey was inspired by the art of Giorgio de Chirico, who was also the inspiration for the Japanese cover of Ico.
