Etrian Odyssey Nexus was released in August 2018 in Japan, and players have made the shocking discovery that there is in fact a hidden class. This job was not revealed ahead of launch and is called ‘Servant of Darkness’. (Thanks, Famitsu!)

It’s not an “official” class, per se, and instead acts as something of a sidegrade to a character’s current class. It boosts every stat, but changes the character’s Force Break and Force Boost into those of the Servant of Darkness class. “Procession of the Dead” is the Servant of Darkness’ unique Force Break, which revives all fallen allies with 1 HP and does a varying amount of damage depending on how many people were revived.

Meanwhile, the Servant of Darkness does have several unique portraits, which you can see above.

Currently, the unlock requirements for the pseudo-class are unknown, but several speculated requirements include the amount of guild cards, play time length, difficulty settings, and other things.

Etrian Odyssey Nexus will release in North America and Europe on February 5, 2019 for Nintendo 3DS. The game is available in Japan as Etrian Odyssey X.
