During their talk at the conference, Kamiya said (via translator):

“We’re going to knock the audience participation up a bit. They’re still trying to negotiate with Nintendo whether a possible Wonderful 101 Switch release could happen but it always helps when the people in the audience at Reboot clap if they’d actually buy a Switch version of Wonderful 101. So anybody who would buy that, please clap…”

The whole room clapped. Later, after the interview, Inaba also commented about the actual likelihood of a port:

“From their perspective obviously there are things they can’t talk about, about dealings they have with Nintendo. Certainly they can say everything they said during the speech, which was, ‘Hey, we should do that.’ But whether that is a ‘we are going to do that’, and what the likelihood is of that happening, is just going to have to be something you wait to find out.”

Regarding Bayonetta 3, Inaba and Kamiya knows that fans will want even better from the sequel, so they want to raise the bar by adding new gimmicks and ways to play the game. During the talk, Inaba mentioned that Bayonetta 3 will represent a turning point in how PlatinumGames makes games.

Finally, Inaba refuted rumors that PlatinumGames entered financial troubles with the cancelling of Microsoft’s Scalebound. He said that PlatinumGames isn’t a one project studio, but a balanced studio, and they are totally fine. Inaba apologized to any fans who were worried about PlatinumGames thanks to the rumors.

The Wonderful 101 is available on Nintendo Wii U.
