Phantom Breaker Delayed To May Due To Bug Fixes

Recommended Videos

Phantom Breaker was supposed to be released sometime this month in North America. That won’t be happening anymore—the game has been delayed into May. We got in touch with publisher, 7Sixty, to find out the cause, and they told us it has to do with issues that came up during testing.

“During testing on the English version of the game we ran across a few issues with Xbox Live play which resulted in being unable to re-invite friends into matches, and also potential long stalls while joining a match if the other player disconnected,” 7Sixty’s Eric Lorentz shared with us via e-mail. “We passed those issues back to 5pb and they’ve done a great job patching up the minor things we’ve found.”

The game is now 100% done, and is presently in the process of being manufactured on disc. “A bit clearer of an answer is that we’re anticipating the game to get to stores around May 8th,” Lorentz elaborated in a follow-up mail.

In case you missed it, we’re running a U.S. Phantom Breaker art contest, which will end this Friday. A customized Eightarc arcade stick is on the line, so if you’re thinking of entering, you’d best get started on your submission.
