Leading up to the release of Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, a special campaign is coming to Phantasy Star Online 2. The campaign will allow players to obtain unique cosmetic items for a limited time in . Additionally, returning players will be able to receive special rewards for returning to the game during this period. As mentioned previously, players can get their hands on special cosmetics during this period. This includes two Rappy Egg bags, and a Bunni Hair Accessory. Players can also obtain a War God Helmet Accessory, and a Don Halo Emote. Immediate rewards include Matoi – Beckon stamp which can be obtained by following the official Phantasy Star Online 2 Global Twitter and Facebook accounts, and then retweeting any tweet that has a special hashtag. The event period for the Rappy Egg bag will end on May 25, 2021. However, the event period for the War God Helmet Accessory, Don Halo Emote, and the Bunni Hair Accessory will last until the launch of New Genesis.  Players will receive rewards on July 7, 2021 through the Visiphone.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will release globally in June 2021, with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC noted as official platforms in Japan.
