Korean game Touch Bunny is a cutesy, cuddly affair involving bunny girls out on a sweets run gone horribly wrong, if you’d believe the way it’s presented. The horizontal shoot-em-up is part of Kakao’s—a chat messenger similar to Line or Whatsapp—list of titles.
What’s cute is that the gunpods (or orbitals, or support weapons) are little pets you can pick up from the in-game store and then level up. There’s a wide variety of these, and they’ll fly alongside you and shoot their own projectiles. Gorging picking up enough desserts will fill a power bar that turns your selected heroine into a mega-gal for a few seconds.
Touch Bunny works like Jetpack Joyride in that touching the screen will cause your bunny girl to rise up higher, while letting go causes her to fall. You control this to scoop up all the candies, donuts and powerups in a level before facing off against bosses that include a giant bird that totally, totally, has nothing to do with Angry Birds. Oh, and a pretty-boy mandrake root.
