In Persona 5 Scramble, we meet the investigator Zenkichi Hasegawa. He’s been watching the Phantom Thieves and warns that they are under investigation for a certain incident. However, he gives them a chance to solve the mysterious case ahead of time in order to clear their name. Another new character is Sophia who first appears in the form of a giant box before taking the form of a young girl.

The Phantom Thieves must travel to different parts of Japan to take down the Palace-like Jails. Each location has its own story with key characters to meet. In Sapporo they’ll check out the romantic city with hot springs and an icy Jail. Sendai will show off its Tanabata festival and food culture, but also a strangely popular light novel author.

In Okinawa the crew visit a resort island called Kukojima, known for its lively beach. Lastly, Kyoto and Osaka feature everything from shrines and temples to Zankichi’s home where you’ll meet his daughter Akane, a big fan of the Phantom Thieves.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will release for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 20, 2020. A demo is currently available in Japan for PS4 and Switch. Check out more Persona 5 Scramble gameplay in its previous trailer.
