With the recent Persona games, Atlus placed and enforced streaming guidelines in the name of preventing spoilers. While Persona 5 was known for how strict it was, the Persona 5 Royal streaming restrictions are slightly less stringent. While the biggest prevents people from streaming after they pass December 24th in-game, an official update offers every guideline for the new version of the game.
First, someone can press the PlayStation 4 Share button to immediately begin Persona 5 Royal streaming on either Twitch or YouTube. However, after you hit December 24th in-game, it cuts off and you can’t stream or take screenshots. This basically means people can’t share elements from the new third semester added for the game.
In addition, a list of four other Persona 5 Royal streaming restrictions were provided to give people who are planning to play and share advice about what they can and can’t do. Here’s the exact list from Atlus’ FAQs.
- Please appropriately mark spoilers if sharing story content.
- Include the copyright logos ©ATLUS ©SEGA.
- Stick to normal streaming guidelines, such as do not slander the game or other players.
- Please do not make BGM videos.
It seems like these sorts of guidelines are here to stay. After all, Atlus revealed the Persona 5 Scramble streaming rules back in February 18, 2020.
Persona 5 Royal is now available for the PlayStation 4.
