Persona 5 Essential Edition Delayed

Persona 5 Essential Edition Vinyl Delayed by Shipping Container Shortage

The Persona 5 Essential Edition vinyl soundtrack set planned to ship in Q2 2021 will be delayed ten weeks, production company iam8bit announced on Twitter. The delay itself is caused by a worldwide shipping container shortage, which has been increasing transportation costs globally. iam8bit states that the set is now planned to ship in July 2021, along with ordered copies of the Persona 5 Royal soundtrack.

Curated by the Atlus sound team, the vinyl set features four LPs contained in a premium box set alongside an exclusive sticker sheet and postcard. The LPs feature the Persona 5 soundtrack’s most popular songs, such as “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There” and “Life Will Change”. iam8bit also uploaded a video series detailing the process of creating a record, from mastering the songs to packaging and creating artwork.

Unfortunately, those who ordered it will have to wait a little longer. The main reason for the delay is a scarcity of shipping containers. These are mainly produced by Chinese manufactures and purchased by equipment leasing companies in the US. However, the production of containers is currently unable to keep up with the rising demand. Other factors, such as the Ever Given incident in the Suez Canal back in April, have also caused much of the existing containers to be held up.

iam8bit’s Persona 5 Essential Edition vinyl set will be delayed until July 2021. Persona 5 Royal is immediately available for the PlayStation 4.
