In the same interview, Wada also revealed that Atlus is now more keen on doing multiplatform releases after seeing more than one million Persona 4 Golden units sold on PC as of July 2021.

Here are some of the highlights from Famitsu‘s interview with Kazuhisa Wada about the upcoming Persona 4 Arena Ultimax ports:

  • “With the flow where we saw Persona on Steam surpassing one million units sold, we have massively scaled up the initial flow, which includes platform deployments.”
  • “This title is currently undergoing final adjustments. It is important to us that we release this as the definitive version of Persona 4 Arena series where people can enjoy (almost) everything, from battles, stories, to DLC.”
  • “We are currently considering implementing the rollback feature with a patch at a later date.”

Atlus recently revealed the new remastered ports for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax at The Game Awards 2021. When the game originally came out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2014, the company added Tohru Adachi, Marie, and Margaret as DLC characters. The ports will have them included in-game.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will appear on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 17, 2022. The fighting game is currently available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
