Atlus shared new streaming guidelines for the upcoming ports of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on its Japanese Persona Channel website. It generally allows uploads and streams for most parts of the fighting game outside of its story segments.
While the company discourages people to make a profit from the gameplay videos, it makes an exception to secondary profit from website services like the YouTube Partner Program. However, Atlus strictly forbids any streams and uploads of the ports before the official release date on March 17, 2022.
Atlus has been known for its strict rules about video uploads and live streams of its titles. In its guidelines, it generally asks video creators to add spoiler warnings when their videos include critical story elements. It also prohibits uploads containing only the game’s music and videos made with illegal methods, such as hacks and exploits. The company published similar guidelines to its prior releases like Shin Megami Tensei V, Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, and Persona 5 Strikers.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax originally appeared on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and arcades. New ports of the fighting game will be available simultaneously worldwide for PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2022. A rollback netcode patch will come to the PS4 and PC versions in Summer 2022.
