When Atlus produced the enhanced Persona port on PSP, they did it with fans of Persona 3 and Persona 4 in mind. Persona 2: Innocent Sin on PSP, however, is being designed for fans of the original PlayStation title.
This is what the game’s composer-cum-director, Shoji Meguro, revealed in the game’s first development blog post today. Meguro goes on to say that, because Persona on PSP outsold expectations, Atlus are pouring more money into development of Persona 2: Innocent Sin.
He refrains from specifying the budgets of either title, or the actual increase in said budget, however, so take that with a grain of salt.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin has been in development for a while. It’s slated for a release sometime this Winter in Japan.
