By We all saw it coming. Pac-Man is a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, director Masahiro Sakurai just revealed at a presentation for the game at E3.
Pac-Man can make a fire hydrant (Down A) that shoots water from it. He can also turn into his arcade self as his side attack, as well as grow huge and eat things. His Up B move is a trampoline that he can bounce off thrice.
Director Masahiro Sakurai emphasized Pac Man’s older design rather than the new one, he says, citing him as one of the oldest characters in games.
Following the character’s reveal, Sakurai demonstrated a battle between Sonic, Mario, Mega Man and Pac-Man. Pac-Man entered as his classic form, and then popped out of it as Pac-World Pac-Man.
