By Jaleco’s pencil shaded action RPG Ougon no Kizuna (Bonds of Gold) is almost done. This trailer gives us a good look at it and its like… Dynasty Warriors meets Shadow of the Colossus.

This video shows hero Lian slashing and summoning acid rain to dispatch dozens of cloned warriors. Swords have different spells so you want to collect them all. Famitsu explains the combat system is as simple as hitting A + A + A and mixing up the B button to do different attacks. The twist is Lian goes toe to toe against giant monsters like the Olugas in this clip. Not entirely new, but I’m interested to see if Jaleco captures the grand feel of Shadow of Colossus battles with Ougon no Kizuna.
