Oshi No Ko Will Release on Blu-Ray and DVD in Japan

The anime adaptation of Oshi no Ko will release on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan. It will receive 6 volumes, with the first one releasing on June 28, 2023. The first prints of the DVD and Blu-ray will include special bonuses. The Oshi no Ko Blu-ray will cost 9,900 JPY (or roughly $73 USD), while the DVD version will cost 8,800 JPY (~$65 USD).

The items included in the first editions of the Oshi no Ko DVD and Blu-ray include a special case, a special booklet and leaflet, a storyboard book of the anime, and a digipak with newly drawn art by Kanna Hirayama, the character designer for the show. Additionally, every version will include a special behind the scenes video, and audio commentary of the anime.

Oshi no Ko is a supernatural drama and murder mystery that follows Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, twin siblings and children of the deceased famous idol Ai Hoshino, who are trying to uncover the identity of their mother’s murderer.

In other Oshi no Ko news, Yoasobi’s “Idol,” the opening song for the anime adaptation, recently surpassed 23 million views on YouTube.

The first DVD and Blu-ray volume of Oshi no Ko will release in Japan on June 28, 2023. The Blu-ray will cost 9,900 JPY (~$73 USD), and the DVD will cost 8,800 JPY (~$65 USD). The Oshi no Ko anime is available in English on HIDIVE.
