Universal Studios Japan announced that it will host a One Piece Premier Summer 2022 event, which will include One Piece Film Red-related attractions. The event will be held from July 1 to October 2, 2022, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the series and the lead-up to the release of One Piece Film Red. However, attendees will also be able to purchase tickets to see the One Piece Premier Show 2022 and ride a special themed rollercoaster during the event period. This version of the One Piece Premier Show will feature Jimbei and other members of the Straw Hat Pirates. The show will be approximately 75 minutes long and feature fireworks and other effects. It will be an entirely original story but will feature memorable moments from the series. This includes the moment Luffy decides to become the Pirate King. It will serve as a prequel of sorts to One Piece Film Red. Previous shows have featured popular characters like Portgas D. Ace and Zoro.

Additionally, a One Piece-themed roller coaster will appear at Universal Studios Japan. The One Piece X Hollywood Dream the Ride – Departure! Mini Merry II rollercoaster will see participants board the Mini Merry II-inspired ride. Like the One Piece Premier Show, the One Piece Universal Studios Japan rollercoaster will be linked to One Piece Film Red. It will feature voiceovers from members of the Straw Hat Pirates, along with music.

Lastly, a special themed restaurant will be available during the event. “Sanji’s Pirate Restaurant” will serve French cuisine and feature a live show. Attendees can take a commemorative photo after the live show. More information about the menu will be released at a later date.

One Piece Film Red will release in Japan on August 6, 2022.
