Spanish video game publisher Meridiem Games announced that the physical release of Omori for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Europe has been canceled. This is due to issues regarding the European multiple language localization.
While the company didn’t offer any further information about the issues that caused the cancelation of the physical editions of the game, the original Spanish post on the Meridiem Games X (formerly Twitter) account revealed that the development team was responsible for canceling the PS4 and Switch physical editions of Omori in Europe.
Here’s the statement from Meridiem Games:
Omori is a turn-based RPG in which players control mute, socially withdrawn teenager Sunny in the real world and his counterpart Omori in a dream world where he must face and overcome his fears and traumas in order to move forward in the real world. The game originally released for Windows PC in December 25, 2020, with a Switch and Xbox One and Series X release happening later in June 17, 2022. The game also appeared for the PlayStation 4 in North America on June 24, 2022.
Omori is readily available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. The release of the PS4 and Switch physical editions of Omori in Europe have been cancelled, but a physical version of the game is available in North America via Fangamer.
