Amaterasu, the protagonist of Okami, has appeared in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Capcom added the character as a static Mazo Talisman in a title update which it also released to celebrate the 500,000 players milestone for the game.
The company has been adding content inspired by Okami into Kunitsu-Gami following a successful campaign in the game’s demo version. The lineup includes alternate costumes like an Amaterasu-inspired armor for the game’s protagonist Soh and new arrangements for several Okami tracks, such as “The Sun Rises.”
While the previous Okami crossover content had to be accessed via the Extras menu, Kunitsu-Gami players will be able to find Amaterasu on the Mazo Talisman list in-game after applying the latest update. Setting this talisman will generate a trail of flowers on Soh’s movement path, just like the effects that Amaterasu had in the original Okami game.
Okami‘s Amaterasu is not the only Mazo Talisman Capcom added in this update. The company also brought in two new original talismans. The Jubilee talisman will entice villagers nearby Soh to start dancing, while the Dancing Crane will launch fireworks when Soh dances with the regular attack button.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
